Upper Maitland hung on to win 5-4 last night in Kurtzville over the Kincardine Kanucks. A game in which the Stangs used to prepare for their next Provincial playdown game against and gain some needed momentum and confidence.
Leading 4-2 going into the third the Stangs lost some of their aggressiveness and Kincardine closed to within one, before Shelby Douglas deflected a hard low shot from the point up into the top corner to restore the two goal lead. However instead of igniting the energy that they had earlier they still had to hang on for the win.
