Great Tournament in Teeswater!!
The kids got an early start Sat. morning. Our first challenge was to face a tough Saugeen Shores team. Our team in the past has got off to a slow start Saturday mornings but this time was alot different.

The team was fired up for the tournament. The team got down by a couple goals but that did not deter them. They fought back and were leading with 5 minutes remaining. Unfortunately they could not hold the lead and lost 6-5. Kyson Williams took the player of the game by deeking the goalie several times. Dayden Kerr making his only 2nd start in goalie did amazing job going side to side making some key saves.

Our 2nd task was a team from Kincardine. Before the game one of the Howick parents overheard the Kincardine coaches talking that they were going to face a very quick Howick team. What a complement! With this game there was even more passing then the 1st. All the kids utilitized the boards for the passing which the Kincardine team found tough to defend. Jayden Grass took player of the Game with a highlight wrap around goal. With a super team effort the Howick team came out victorious putting us into the Consilation finals.

The 3rd game was against another tough Kincardine team. We held our own for the 1st period but we had a tough 2nd period where we ran out of legs when we gave up  several goals. Our AP players Gillian Dinsmore and Colby Reichard did a great job and played tough. Dayden Kerr kept getting stronger in net. In this game the coaching staff was impressed with the amount of passing and  Kaiden Holland made some beautiful end to end rushes earning him the player of the game. The purpose of this tournament was to get the team fired up for the playoffs. It proved to do just that. Bring them on!!
