Stangs Split a Pair
After losing 2-1 to the Saugeen Shores Storm on Monday, Upper Maitland defeated Mount Forest 5-2 Tuesday night.

Monday Upper Maitland came up against a hot and also fortunate Storm goaltender as she turned aside a relentless attacking Stangs squad. The only goal came after Charlebois set up Hawthorne in the third.
Twenty four hours later Upper Maitland rebounded with another speedy forechecking game plan that created plenty of scoring chances.
Douglas and Johnston were the offensive leaders with 3 points each.
Shelby Douglas tallied two with Johnston, Hussey and Carson adding singles. Helpers went to Johnston (2) Bettridge, Litt, Hussey, Douglas, Nelson and Hamilton.
Litt and Hussey proved to be an excellent penalty killing tandem as each time they were called upon the Mount Forest power play never got over centre ice.
The Mustangs played a disciplined and strong positional game at both ends of the frozen pond. The forwards were willing to skate back as hard into their defensive zone as they were when breaking out on offensive rushes, thus giving support to the defence and limiting shots on goal.
