December 8th vs. South Bruce
The Atoms strolled into South Bruce on Monday night to play another away game.
After coming out on a losing end to Mt. Forest on Friday night at home, the Atoms wanted to turn their game around and play hard against South Bruce. It was evident from the first drop of the puck until the horn went to finish the game, that they wanted to win this game. Before the kids hit the ice, all the kids were reminded that they were the ones to set the tone of the game by playing the game they have been taught this year. Although the Atoms played one of their best games on the season and outplayed the opposing team, it turned out in a 3-3 tie. Strong wingers from tonight's game included; Jayse Wylie, Dayden Frey, Jackson Fischer, Joey Schaefer, Roger Blough and Ashlyn Hill. All played their positions and drove the puck out of their end went it was time.
It was only a couple bad bounces in our own end that caused South Bruce to capitalize on those chances to push the puck into our goal.
Howick goals were scored by Kyson Williams (2) and by Brent Huigenbos.
The Atoms are anxious for their next game which will be held this coming Friday night at home against Minto at 8:00pm.
