WOAA Round Robin Play Begins
The Rep Hornet's began their WOAA divisional loop play tonight in Wingham against the AE Ironmen. After opening the scoring in the first Wingham rallied for a 4-2 victory.

Kyson Williams tallied the only goal of the opening frame with Hunter deBoer registering the assist. The Hornet's played an energetic first period with solid zone play especially in the defensive end. In previous regular season play Wingham used the low triangle play to open up offensive zone opportunities. Tonight the focus in the pregame talk was on the Hornet centre's picking up the high man in the slot to neutralize this play. Both Garniss and Dinsmore were flawless in preventing the Ironmen from taking advantage of this designed play.
Wingham convinced "Mo" (momentum) over to play on their side for the second period. The visiting Hornet squad struggled to clear their zone on numerous attempts. Lessen learned here is instead of trying to deke your way out of the D zone, just shoot it out! Eventually Wingham tallied twice to lead after the second.
The local gang regained the intensity for the third. Only a couple of missed coverages  that resulted in two more Ironmen goals were the only chinks in the Hornet's armour in the final frame.
Colby Reichard scored the most exciting goal of this game. That at the time pulled Howick to within one at 3-2, when he blocked a shot at the Howick blueline and then out raced two Wingham defenders towards the Ironmen's net. He then unleashed a wrist shot that picked the far upper corner behind the goaltender.
Wormington and McNichol also had scoring opportunities in this game as well because of their drive to the net looking for rebounds to fire home.
