A big night for the GOLD
A great first game for U13 Gold!
Stacked up against the mighty Drayton Defenders, our fearsome Hornets came out strong and ready to play.
Game started on our side, with #17 Jacob Schaefer scoring the 1st goal of the game, followed by not 1... but 2 short handed goals by our #27 Liam Omand!
Drayton came back to even the score and we held it until there until the last few minutes of the 3rd period.
We had some challenges, with a bad collision in a battle for the puck in the 2nd, putting our Centreman out of the game... and a goalie change by Drayton between 2nd and 3rd period, our Gold Hornets stayed strong through the whole game!
Good coaching by Lee and Chris, and a combined cheerleading squad with our parents in the stands made a great first game to kick off a great year!
