Building A Foundation
The Atom Rep Hornet's were eliminated from OMHA play downs Saturday morning at the Hornet's nest with a 7-3 loss to the Zurich Thunder.
Kyson Williams lead the Hornet attack with 2 goals and an assist. Berlyn Garniss notched a goal and a helper and Logan Heffer added an assist.
Howick played a strong game, but not with the same intensity as they displayed in game 2 of this series.
The lesson that was learned from this season and the playoff round against Zurich will stead them well as they move forward, not only for the remainder of the WOAA group play downs but for next season.
The foundation that has been laid this season will shape the Rep program as it moves into the coming years.
This team has endured many obstacles along the way this season. From learning to play the game at an intense pace from start to finish to also challenging themselves to play at a skill level that even they didn't believe they could play at at the beginning of the season.
We should all be very proud of the effort and commitment that this team has displayed throughout the year.
