Welcome to Howick Minor Hockey
"The Highest compliment you can pay me is to say I work hard every time I'm on the ice, I never dog it" ~Wayne Gretzky
Howick Township is comprised of a number of small hamlets and villages in the heart of rural Midwestern Ontario. Howick Athletic Association (HAA) is a volunteer organization offering recreational and representative minor hockey programs for all children ages 3-21, in divisions Initiation thru Juvenile. HAA is classed as a 'DD centre and its participation includes OMHA and WOAA organizations where enrollment numbers permit.
HAA members hope to provide and focus on personal development, skills in teamwork, respect in sports and the development of leadership and athletic skills. These goals are easily obtainable through the strength of HAA volunteers.
Aims and Objectives as set out in our constitution:
- To foster the maximum opportunity for youth to participate in amateur sport within the boundaries set down by this constitution.
- To promote good sportsmanship and teamwork between all participants representing our centre in any hockey related activities with the aim to develop and improve one’s standards of physical, mental & social well-being.
- To sponsor and promote such athletic, social and other activities as may contribute to the moral and financial welfare of the association.
- To provide programs at the Development level (Initiation Program), the recreation level (Local) and the competitive level (Representative)
We welcome all visitors and members to enjoy our small town atmosphere, witness positive competition and enjoy a fun family environment.
