Tired and Weary
Sunday night saw a tired Hornet squad play their forth game in 4 nights at Hanover against the Falcons. Both teams scored second period goals as this game ended even at 1-1.
Both teams played a scrambling game at times to the point where it was frustrating to watch. Not that both teams didn't have their moments of excellence.
For Howick it perhaps shouldn't have been a surprise as last nights game against BCH was such an emotionally
draining contest, there was bound to be a let down.
After the Falcons opened the scoring early in the second they took a penalty for interference. As time on the infraction wore down a face off to the left of the Falcon's net was won by Hussey back to Dickert at the point who moved up and rifled a blistering shot past the keeper of the meshed tomb for Howick's only goal of the game.
Hoffele, Harkes and Brears played solid consistent hockey throughout the game for the midgets tonight. Enough so to earn mentioning for their efforts.
Over all, playing on 4 consecutive nights and earning a win, a loss and two ties you can be proud of your efforts.
