Tough Loss
After a slow start Howick found their wheels and using their speed and strong passing rallied to give the Cyclones all they could handle, but fell 4-2 at the final buzzer.

Howicks first goal was a result of an excellent passing play. Mitch Brooks picked up a loose puck and fired it cross ice to Shawn Kleinveld in the neutral zone who then made a lovely little touch pass to Dickert who was flying up the middle at full speed. He then manoeuvred past the Cyclone D-man cut accross the cress and deposited the bisquet into the basket.
Nathan Heipel then scored in the second period to bring Howick to within one as he buried a Kuepfer pass  who had gained the ofensive zone after picking up a nifty little pass from Hussey in the neutral zone.
Howick had created several turnovers in this game in the centre ice area off strong support from backup to an aggressive forecheck.
Howick kept the final outcome in doubt up until the final buzzer with their commitment to a strong work ethic.
