Game vs. Drayton November 9th
No Sunday afternoon game will slow down the Atom Hornets. As gloomy of a day it was and a quiet dressing room
while all the kids prepared for their game against Drayton, it was thought to be another repeat of last Sundays game in Mt. Forest. However, strong skating, positional playing and flawless goal tending from the Hornets allowed them to win the game 2-0. An early first period goal seemed to be the game winner, but it was Joey Schaefer who pushed the puck through 2 Drayton defenders to capture his first goal on the season late in the dying seconds of the third period to end it at the 2-0 score. If the Atoms continue to skate as hard as they did and keep the puck out of their end, we'll continue to watch their win record grow. The Atom hornets next game in on Sat Nov 15th as they travel to Walkerton for an exhibition game at 10:45am.
