Playing with Fire
The old saying that "When you play with fire you will get burned " held true last night for the Hornets. Twice they gave up hard earned two goal leads and then a late goal to the Blyth/Brussels power play that sent the game to overtime. Eventually losing 6-5 a minute in after have an excellent chance on the Bh./Brls net just seconds before.
Poorly time pinches by the "D" and forwards not recognizing that a D had pinched hard left the Hornets vulnerable to countless 3 on 2's and 3 on 1's. An exciting game to watch, but a hair pulling, tongue biting contest from the benches. Burbidge scored the hat trick and Devries added 2. Assists went to Burbidge (2), Meyer, Brears, Devries, Smith and M.Brooks.
