Hornets Head to Harriston
The Hornets head to Harriston for and Exibition Game.
The Mighty Hornets flew into Harriston to take on the Minto Mad Dogs. It was an action packed game with great battles from both teams. The Hornets were looking to get on course with a win. The first period seen lots of scoring chances from both teams with the Hornets scoring first. The goalies were not going to make it easy with lots of saves from both teams. They both stood their ground in net. With 7 minutes left in the third Daniel P got a great pass and went up the ice and scored his second goal of the night putting the Hornets up 2-0. The Mad Dogs fought back with 6 minutes left they got their first goal in the game to make it 2-1. The tension was rising as the Mad Dogs were pressing hard to get the second goal, but with a great team effort the Hornets shut down the Mad Dogs and won the game 2-1. Our defence was strong and impressive tonight, Mathew W, Resse O, Avery H, Colby T were on their game, awesome job. From the stands you could see that it was a great team effort. Way to go! Everyone get ready to take on the Cyclones Wednesday night in Howick. Go Hornets Go!
