Between A Rock and A Hard Place
St. Marys Rock arrived in Kurtzville Tuesday evening defeating the Mustangs 6-3 in Provincial playdowns. Solid goaltending from Robertson along with a more energetic game gave Upper Maitland opportunities for a positive result.
It took the Rock until the final frame to edge out the Stangs, as the score was knotted at 3 until they slowly pulled away for the victory.
Holly Nelson with a goal and an assist lead the Mustangs offensively. Gachel Goetz and Reagan Miller notched the other Mustang goals. Jenna Burbidge returned to the line up tonight from a shoulder injury and chipped in with an assist.
Thursday Upper Maitland heads to Exeter to play South Huron.
