On his first shift Nathan Heipel jams his wrist while receiving a check and after x-rays revealed a broken wrist Heipel will miss the final tournament in Waterford at the end of the month. Heipel's leadership and point production will be missed on the final weekend. 

Midway through the overtime period Lucknow tallies the only marker of the game in a 1-0 victory over the Hornets.

Overtime decided nothing Thursday night and both Lucknow and Howick earned a valuable point in the round-robin Elite play down grouping.

In a fast paced game that had both teams displaying skill and energy our local lads emerged victoriously 4-1 over the visiting Tiverton Thunder.

That was the comment made from the referee after this contest ended to both coaching staff's. Blyth/Brussels downed the Hornet's 2-1 Tuesday night in Brussels as this game show cased all of the finer points of the game of Hockey.
