Regular Season Wraps Up
A trip to Hensall to play the BCH Icedogs Saturday brought about the conclusion of Howick's return to regular season play in the Rep category.
An intensely played first period saw the Atom Hornets squared at a goal each with the home side. Jericho McNichol deposited the biscuit into the basket after Williams had all of the Ice dog defenders focusing on him after his end to end rush.
Although a determined group of Hornet's played hard in the final two frames a combination of accurately placed shots and missed coverage's in the "D" zone allowed the Ice dogs to skate away with the victory.
The fine play which lead to half of the BCH goals were well earned and would have been difficult for any ream to have defended.
However, the missed assignments on the other half of the goals should not be happening at this stage of the season. So attention to details will be worked on during the upcoming weeks practices as the Atoms prepare for playoff action.
