Thru the managers eyes
Another tough loss for the Atom team. After travelling to Hanover on Saturday, November 17, everyone was ready for a good game. After the coach, Sheldon Dinsmore, gave the team their pep talk it was time for action.
The first period went well with the score being 1-0 for Hanover. The team was passing and playing their positions. The second period saw the first penalty of the game to Nathan Versteeg (33) for holding. The team was still being aggressive against Hanover. Shelby Foster was between the pipes and doing a great job for Howick. After the second it was 3-0 for Hanover.
Once the third period was underway, it was evident that the team was starting to run out of steam. Penalties by Liam Gibson (20) and Byson Bennett (3) for slashing in the third period helped Hanover. A Hanover player received a penalty for tripping and Howick was on the power play. Many plays were well made but sadly did not end in any goals for Howick. The final score was 9-0 for Hanover. Now the executive needs to figure out how to keep the team going in the third period. Another two practices this week before the next game, should give the executive time to figure something out.
Remember always keep two hands on the stick.
