Howick vs Walkerton
Early Sunday morning, the Atoms were on the go and heading for Walkerton for their 9:15 am game.  After their close game on Saturday, against Mildmay, the team was excited.
After receiving the coaches advice for the game, they headed out pretty pumped up.

Another fast moving game for the Atom team.  Walkerton seemed to be all over the puck for the first period. 5 goals were scored on Howick and the team had to try harder. Howick was unable to get it past the Walkerton goalie. The players were trying to remember to play their positions.
The second period, the fans were seeing many shots on both goalies. Walkerton scored 4 and Howick did score one goal.  The team seemed to be getting a little slower as the game went on. Parents and the coaches could be heard trying to get the team moving a bit faster but to no avail. At 5:03 remaining in the period, Brad Reaman (73) scored a goal for Howick.  This seemed to make the players a little more motiviated.
The third period saw two penalities handed out. Walkerton got one for tripping at 7:55 in the period. Again, Howick managed many shots on the Walkerton goalie but were unable to put it past him. The second penalty was given to Bryson Bennet (3) for tripping at 1:38 left on the clock.  Walkerton managed to score 5 goals in the third and Howick was unable to score any.  The final score was 14 - 1 for Walkerton.
The team needs to regroup and figure out what went wrong. After the great game in Mildmay the day before, the team seemed disappointed with the results.  Hopefully practice this week will help the team figure things out.
Remember, keep playing hard no matter what the score!
