Howick Wins Against Listowel
A spirited fun filled game took place at Howick arena Friday night which resulted in a 3-1 win for the Hornets! Howick was playing with two less players than usual with absence of Daniel Woods (6) and Nathan Versteeg (33).  Howick pulled together and played a excellent team game and the hard work payed off.

At 9.10 of the first period, Reece Hamilton (34) scored on a nice play with Charlotte Todd (9) picking up the assist.  Shelby Foster (1) came up big and stole a goal away from a Listowel player who came in all alone, Foster shut the door on him and kept the score at 1-0.
At 8.42 of the 2nd period, Landis King (29) scored on a nifty wrist shot from the slot and made the score 2-0, assists on the goal were Hamilton and Todd Shortly after at 3.47 of the 2nd period, Bryson Bennett (3) popped one home for the home team and made the score 3-0, assists on the goal were Scott Eaton (21) and Brad Reaman (73). Listowel finally found the back of the net with 1.09 seconds remaining in the 2nd period to make it a closer game.
In the 3rd period, Howick's defence shut down Listowel, Rachel Mills (19) calm and collective style and ability to clear the puck out and rush up the ice at the right time was a great asset in the win tonight. Howick played a great team game and had contributions from all the players in the win tonight! Way to go Howick!
Thanks to Steve Todd for writing the article for me.  I was put on the bench tonight to open the door for the players. It is totally a different view from that side of the arena.  I am amazed how much I could hear of the parents and fans. The team worked well together and they won the game!
Remember, if you all work together as a team, anything is possible!
