New names added to the score sheet today!!
This Sunday afternoon in Tiverton our Howick Atom's faced their only "Elite Playoff" rival; and they found themselves in the unfamiliar position of thoroughly dominating their opponent. Our Hornets found the back of the net a whopping 15 times!
Goals and assists were abundant when the team rushed the net more and more throughout the game!
Moving the puck up the ice and passing out to teammates in front of the net were important aspects of the Hornet's success today. The referees counted 9 assists for our players. These went to Brad Reaman (#23), Bryson Bennett (#30), Brent Huigenbos (#7), Wade Schefter (#11), Ryan Dinsmore (#14), and Scott Eaton (#18).
Fans were treated to 3 Howick goals in the first period, 4 in the second, and 8 more in the third. Charlotte Todd (#20) found her way to the score sheet with her first goals of the season (3 in total!), Wade Schefter (#11) perfected the rebound grab and goal (3 times!), and Bryson Bennett (#30) picked up another hat trick by picking his shots carefully. Brad Reaman (#23) and Ryan Dinsmore (#14) each added 2 "sweet" goals and Avery Harding (#9) and Colby Thomson (#10) rounded out the scoring onslaught with 1 goal each.
While everyone enjoyed being on this side of a lopsided game today, it will be important to bring your "A" games to Listowel on Monday night.
