During the first period, Howick managed to kill a penalty against them.  Once the team was back to full strength, Liam Gibson (15) stole the puck at the blue line. He went in towards the goalie and took a shot.  He scored the first goal of the game with 3:14 left on the clock.  The period ended with Howick winning 1-0.
The fans and the coaches were offering lots of advice for the players during the second period.  Several attempts were made by Howick to score but the Mount Forest goalie was making several key saves. Howick did have a power play in the second with 3:54 left in the period. However, they were unable to put it past the goalie. The second ended the same as the first.
Third period saw lots of penalties and the teams playing short handed.  Jaden Greer (1) made several key stops for Howick.  The players kept trying to get the next goal and the puck moved from end to end.  Mount Forest received a penalty with 1:26 left in the period.  After several attempts to score, Wade Schefter (11) scored with 0:03 seconds left on the clock.  Gibson assisted on the goal.  The final score was 2-0 for Howick!
Congratulations to Jaden Greer for his first shut out this season!
