Howick Hornets vs Minto Mad Dogs (1)
A close game!!
The Howick Atoms hosted the Minto Mad Dogs (1) in the Hornet’s
Nest on Friday night. The game was very
close and kept the fans on the edge of their seats for three periods!
Shots on goal were even after every period with a total of 15 shots each by the end of the game. For Howick, Bryson Bennett (#30) scored his first hat trick of the season with goals at 9:40 and 0:28 of the first period and 8:08 of the third; two assists went to Avery Harding (#9) and one to Scott Eaton (# 18). Wade Schefter (#11) got his first goal of the season at 3:33 in the first period (unassisted). Jaden Greer (#1) kept the Hornets even with the Mad Dogs until the final 13 seconds of the game when a defensive drive led to a break for the Mad Dogs and they took the lead 5-4. A tough loss for the Hornets but a great team effort! The first win is just around the corner!
